About Dr. Ayin Adams

Adams come from a long lineage of Pastors. Her great-grand father was a Pastor, her grandfather, her Uncle L.C. Adams is a retired Pastor, her cousin Stephanie Adams is a Pentecostal Pastor. Ordained in 1995, Dr. Adams perpetuates love and spiritual truth. She is a minister’s minister, often praying for herself as well as others. She believes in Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and God.

At an early age, she wrote spiritual poems based on the Psalms. She would subsequently go on to publish several award-winning poetry books. After Sunday School, she was invited weekly to share a passage of scripture from the Bible in front of the adults in the main sanctuary. She would memorize scriptural passages, then recite them with full commentary. She also read children bible stories to the congregations weekly. As a youngster, she was baptized several times in one day as the other young girls were afraid to get baptized. The Pastor asked her if she would accompany the other young girls for baptism to the water as they were afraid, she simply saw it as an opportunity to be closer to Jesus and God. Ayin would simply tell them, “ Don’t be scared, Jesus is in the waters. We’re going to meet Jesus.” As soon as she was in the water with the girls, she’d lead them to the pastors and she would wait for them afterwards and then take the next girl. (see photo)

The Sovereign Orthodox Order of the Knights Hospitaller of St John of Jerusalem is a direct descendant of the world’s oldest order of chivalry. Founded around 1023 by Blessed Gerard Thom to provide care for poor, sick and injured pilgrims to the Holy Land, it was associated with an Amalfitan hospital in Jerusalem.

The Order’s original work and ministry continues and remains important and relevant today. Today, more than ever before, we are called to live into and live out the important works of mercy, charity. We are called to live according to the precepts that the original Knights of Saint John believed in and practiced. Today, more than ever before, each one of us is called to do and be part of good deeds and worthy works wherever we live and move and have our being. Our good deeds may be small or large; significant or unnoticed; by our involvement in community charitable organizations; through our donations and gifts to charitable works; and through our oblations and gifts to the merciful works of our Order. Many poor and unfortunate people – young and old alike – have been helped by the Order and our members, yet we must not rest on our accomplishments but seek out new opportunities to fulfill our obligations.

The OOSJ is a chivalric order recognized worldwide by the Russian Orthodox Church and is under the Imperial patronage of the Romanov dynasty. The OOSJ is a qualified charitable organization registered with the IRS. The OOSJ is a recognized Non-Governmental Organization at the United Nations.
